In the Filipino language (Tagalog), KAMAYAN means “with hands”. And to EAT “with hands” is a common way to dine, especially at home. It was the Spanish who introduced utensils to the Philippine Islands 400 years ago but we have always kept the tradition alive of sharing food with family and friends around a communal table eating only with our hands.
There’s something to be said about the touch and feel of food on your plate. The texture and the temperature all add to the total experience. And it is our pleasure bringing this experience back from February 22-25 with Flipside BBQ!
